Power to chose

I believe it now! (w/my strong affirmative tone) I believe the cliche 'People come into your life for a reason' I believe it! One of my friend from childhood lost her father this week and my coworker lost her father from pancreatic cancer last night. (Pause) I was told that there is no such thing as an established literary genre of nonsense so here I go... I believe people come into our life/lives to provide support, positive reinforcement, encouragement, and a different level of comfort than our family. Whether it's your uncle, mom, child, dad, grandpa, etc.. death of a family member is tragic, sad, and one event I wish upon nobody because it was the first time in my life-I wanted to vehemently attack a punching bag. I found an article today that I wanted to share with everyone!!!!

Please read it! And this is why I think I'm in your life today.. to share this article and the next time you have your 'I'm the victim and everyone is against me' moment, or sh*t face in a friendly group setting moment, or living in regret and always thinking ' I should have' moment...

Remember you have the power to chose.. it's YOUR life, your choice. Your decision not anyone elses. Per article 'Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.'

Wishing you love and happiness,
Christina Kim-Lara

Someone for everyone

I’m feeling compelled to write about something my girlfriends/coworkers/acquaintances are going through in their 30’s. Being single. I get many forwards from friends about articles that have been written by women that are single and reasons why they are and their theories behind it. It’s a good read, I’ll admit to that. Before I start, I’m not a relationship expert but a friend to many beautiful, successful, confident, well-rounded, and skillful women. I have to say these confused, selfish, chauvinistic, afraid of commitment, lame-os’ range from ethnicity, age, and up-bringing. And I’m sure I sound like a broken record when I say ‘He’s out there.. Be patience... I’m sure you’re over thinking it... don’t text and call him next time... he’ll never find someone like you...” The truth is I think it’s our culture that’s changing. And it’s as simple as that. Marriage doesn’t hold the same standards anymore. We are not rushed to have children right away that can grow up and farm our crops. We’re raised to educate ourselves and to become self-sufficient. Our economic recession has made it harder for men to start their careers after college. Unemployment paper works and checks are commonly shared and used, it’s just the timing. And it’s our society. If you don’t like your shirt, you can go and exchange it. Everything in this world right now is replaceable. We live in an era where the term ‘rebound’ girl exists, you’re the temp until the replacement fills your spot and when she gets on the DL... he’ll find another one… that’s just how it goes. But I still believe in happily ever after …. I believe that as long as you’re confident and in a good place in your life-you will meet the right man that will want the same things in life as you. It’s just going to take a little longer in our day and age. But don’t lose faith, positive energy is contagious. God has someone for everyone. <3
